About Us
Junie started Lark and Peony in 2012 while living in Japan with the goal of making heritage-inspired fashion more accessible while promoting local heritage-wear. Inspired by the juxtaposition of modern prints she saw on traditional kimonos, she wanted the same for cheongsams and kebayas in Singapore.​
As the business grows, her focus remains on building a sustainable brand that supports the local community and celebrates the richness of Singapore’s cultural diversity. Her approach to fashion is grounded in authenticity, and she strives to make sure that every piece tells a story and connects with the wearer on a personal level.
